Vocal Lessons FAq

Lots of students know they are singing the wrong pitch yet they can't make it right no matter how. It is all about how do you project your voice.

if they can't sense the pitch, we do have a way to heightens their sensitivity towards pitching through hearing.

We have many students who have the same concern as you. These students have achieved significant improvements compared to when they first started!

We believe that no one is tone-deaf – but only “less-developed” in terms of singing/hearing.

Everyone of us has the sense of rhythm.

Here are some tips and exercises you can use to improve/check if your rhythm and timing is good.

1  Clap and count.
2 Listen and tap.
3 Analyse one's walking
4 Feel the momentum of car's turn signal sound.

Well, no one has an amazing voice right from birth

Everyone can learn to improve their vocal abilities/hearing/musical sense.

singing is more of a learned skill than a natural one.

Never, never, ever. It’s never too late to sing. Anybody can be taught to sing.

With enough practice and hard work, anyone with a voice can learn how to sing really well. Of course, talent plays a major role in how quickly and easily you are going to learn. But that doesn't mean you're not able to become a great singer if you're not born with great singing talent.

Hoarseness is a result of throat tension or too much air ‘attacking’ our delicate folds. Learning the proper voice support techniques will help in both your singing and speech needed in daily life.

When singing correctly, you should feel a sense of ease and openness in your throat, with minimal tension or strain. Your diaphragm should be engaged, providing support for your breath and allowing you to sustain notes and phrases. Your jaw should be relaxed, allowing for clear articulation and resonance

You will start with essential warm-ups to activate your music senses and muscles, followed by learning new or recapping various singing concepts and techniques. Your coach will then guide you to apply them to your self-select pop songs.
